Full job description
Italian and American restaurant,
- Section Management & Food Prep:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and plating standards, focusing on consistency and minimizing waste.
- Station Supervision:
Assist the Chef de Partie by supervising Commis chefs and trainees to ensure smooth operation of the section.
- Hygiene & Safety:
Maintain strict sanitation standards, such as HACCP and USPH regulations, and ensure the work station is clean and properly organized.
- Inventory Control:
Monitor stock levels for the section and assist with ordering supplies to keep the area fully stocked
- Customer Service & Engagement:
Greeting guests, presenting menus, providing recommendations, and resolving complaints in a professional manner.
Operational & Safety Duties:
- Following food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure health compliance.
- Assisting in other areas, such as banquets or kitchens, as required.
- Coordinating with staff for smooth service in restaurants, bars, or event venues.
- Beverage Service & Preparation:
Preparing and serving beverages according to standard recipes, including alcoholic beverages, wines, and hot drinks.
- Order Taking & Management:
Recording food and beverage orders accurately, operating point-of-sale systems, and processing payments.
- Station Setup & Maintenance:
Setting up tables, stocking service stations, and cleaning tables and service areas to maintain hygiene standards.
- Inventory & Stock Control:
Requisitioning and restocking wines, spirits and other supplies, and tracking inventory levels.
- Up-selling & Sales Maximization:
Promoting daily specials and premium beverages to increase sales.
