Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial function of the organization. The CFO will be responsible for driving financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing capital and funding, and supporting business growth initiatives.
The role requires strong expertise in real estate finance, project costing, and financial structuring, along with the ability to work closely with the CMD/Board on strategic decisions.
A CFO is a senior executive responsible for managing overall financial operations, planning, and long-term financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Provide strategic financial insights to CMD/Board
- Drive long-term business planning and profitability
Fund Management & Capital Structuring
- Manage working capital, project funding, and cash flow
- Liaise with banks, NBFCs, and investors
- Lead debt restructuring, fundraising, and capital allocation
Real Estate Financial Management
- Oversee project budgeting, costing, and financial feasibility
- Monitor project profitability and ROI
- Ensure proper revenue recognition (PCM method)
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with:
- RERA
- GST & Income Tax
- Companies Act
- Lead audits, internal controls, and risk management frameworks
CFOs are responsible for ensuring compliance and managing financial risks across the organization.
Financial Reporting & MIS
- Oversee preparation of financial statements and MIS reports
- Present financial performance to senior leadership
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting
Team Leadership
- Lead finance, accounts, and audit teams
- Build strong financial systems, SOPs, and controls
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments
Business Growth & Strategy
- Evaluate new projects, investments, and expansion opportunities
- Support M&A, joint ventures, and partnerships
- Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance (Mandatory)
Experience
- 15-25 years in finance & accounts
- Minimum 5-8 years in Real Estate / Construction industry
- Experience handling multi-project financial operations
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of real estate financials & project accounting
- Expertise in funding, banking, and investor relations
- Financial planning, forecasting, and modeling
- Leadership and stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of taxation, compliance, and audits
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Based in Delhi NCR
- Experience with real estate developers/builders
- Exposure to large residential/commercial projects
- Strong network with financial institutions
