Position Summary

Agroji Platforms Private Limited is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Export Manager to lead and scale our agricultural exports business across international markets. The role requires end-to-end ownership of export operations including sourcing, procurement, quality control, export documentation, logistics coordination, customer relationship management, compliance, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in fresh fruits, vegetables, agri commodities, processed food products, or related export sectors and should be capable of independently managing export shipments from farm to destination country.

Key Responsibilities

1. Export Business Development

  • Identify and develop international buyers, importers, distributors, wholesalers, and retail chains.
  • Generate export sales opportunities in the Middle East, Europe, Russia, Southeast Asia, and African markets.
  • Participate in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and B2B meetings.
  • Build long-term relationships with overseas buyers.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, payment terms, and contracts.

KPIs

  • Monthly export sales revenue.
  • Number of active international buyers.
  • Repeat order percentage.
  • Export market expansion.

2. Sourcing & Procurement Management

  • Develop and manage sourcing networks for fruits, vegetables, agri commodities, spices, and processed food products.
  • Coordinate with farmers, FPOs, traders, packhouses, and aggregators.
  • Ensure procurement at competitive pricing while maintaining export quality standards.
  • Forecast procurement requirements based on export orders.
  • Monitor availability, seasonality, and market trends.

4. Logistics & Supply Chain Management

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, transporters, and warehouses.
  • Manage sea, air, and multimodal shipments.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and transit timelines.
  • Resolve logistics disruptions and shipment delays.
  • Optimize freight costs and transit efficiency.

  • On-time shipment dispatch.
  • Freight cost savings.
  • Container utilization efficiency.
  • Customer delivery performance.

5. Quality Assurance & Export Standards

  • Ensure compliance with importing country standards.
  • Monitor grading, sorting, packaging, and pre-shipment inspections.
  • Coordinate with quality teams for export-quality produce.
  • Ensure traceability and food safety compliance.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • MBA (International Business / Marketing / Supply Chain) PreferredOR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.

Experience Requirements

Mandatory

  • 5–12 years of export management experience.
  • Experience handling agricultural exports.
  • Strong sourcing and procurement experience.
  • Experience handling export documentation independently.
  • Experience managing international buyers.
  • Experience managing export operations teams.

Preferred

  • APEDA export experience.
  • Fresh produce export experience.
  • Middle East market experience.
  • Europe export experience.
  • Russia/CIS market exposure.
